With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Essie is a seasoned professional makeup artist and dynamic business leader known for her artistry, education, and entrepreneurial expertise. Her career spans luxury retail, fashion, bridal, education, and brand strategy, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams, driving sales, and mentoring emerging artists.

Essie began her journey as a top-performing makeup artist and quickly advanced into leadership roles with renowned brands, where she honed her skills in training and development, client experience, and market strategy. Her passion for both the craft and business of makeup led her to launch Essie Cohen Makeup LLC, a brand that blends artistry with education and empowerment.

She is now expanding her legacy by launching a post-makeup school academy, designed to bridge the gap between artistry and business. Through this innovative program, she mentors aspiring professionals on branding, portfolio building, digital presence, and the fundamentals of running a successful beauty business.

Essie’s unique combination of creativity, leadership, and business acumen makes her a sought-after collaborator and educator in the beauty space. Whether behind the brush, in front of a class, or consulting on brand growth, her mission remains the same: to elevate others and help them thrive in an ever-evolving industry.

Nadia has been working in the wellness and beauty industry for almost 15 years in admin and leadership roles. She has a keen eye and loves keeping things organized (can you say "neat freak"?!). She brings a ton of experience to make sure your occasion is as special as it can be, and she will obsess over the details so you can have a perfectly planned event.

Juliet has been part of the team for five years, starting as Essie's assistant and growing right alongside the brand through high school and college. Today she works side by side with Essie on all of our content and social media marketing, shaping how the brand looks and shows up online, from the designs and photos on our feed to the stories behind them. Juliet is also helping build Essie Cohen Events, bringing our lip gloss and perfume bars, spa and glam parties, and DIY bars to life. With her background in management and a real eye for design, she keeps every part of the brand polished, creative, and true to who we are.

Matia is a senior at Yorktown High School and one of the friendly faces you'll see around the studio and at our events. As our Studio Assistant, she keeps everything running day to day, from packing kits and prepping supplies to making sure every station is spotless and ready for the next client. At our parties she's right in the mix, helping guests create and making sure every detail looks just right. Hardworking, dependable and always up for whatever the day brings, Matia is a big part of the magic behind the scenes.

Millie is the organizational powerhouse behind the scenes, keeping the team on track and making sure every event runs seamlessly. As our Studio Operations Assistant, she manages inventory, coordinates supplies and makes sure every bride's Bridal Box goes out on time, then puts everything back in perfect order once the event wraps. She also lends a hand at our parties, keeping every setup polished and every guest happy. With a love for all things business and a natural entrepreneurial spirit, Millie is always eager to learn, take on new challenges and grow right alongside the brand.

With over a decade of experience as an award-winning makeup artist, Daniela specializes in bridal and special event makeup for all occasions. She listens closely to each client's wants and concerns to create a look that is unique to them, and her calm demeanor and positive, friendly energy put everyone at ease. In 2010 she earned her Makeup Artistry certificate from Brio Academy in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she went on to become a makeup teacher, and she created her own LLC as a makeup artist. In her downtime, Daniela loves styled shoots and working as a makeup artist for NY Fashion Week. She is passionate about giving back, and has done prom makeup for both the children's hospital and adults with special needs.

Julia's love for makeup started at an early age, inspired by doing her own looks for dance performances, watching YouTube tutorials, and experimenting at home. In high school she began honing her skills by creating glam looks for friends' Sweet 16s and proms. After graduating, Julia pursued her passion professionally at the Makeup Academy of NYC, where she completed the master’s program and became certified in both makeup artistry and hairstyling. Her goal is to enhance natural beauty while creating a memorable and uplifting experience for every client.

Elizabeth has been working in the makeup industry for over 9 years, as an artist for brands like Smashbox and Anastasia Beverly Hills in NYC and as a freelancer all over the tri-state area. She specializes in bridal and special events, and loves bringing out each client's natural beauty by enhancing their features for every special occasion.

Kallie Tedaldi is an established Makeup Artist, as well as a New York State Licensed Cosmetologist with over 15 years of experience. Kallie's passion for making people look and feel their best has led her to specialize in Bridal and Beauty makeup. Kallie attended Cosmetology School while she was in High School. After graduation, Kallie moved to NYC where she studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology and earned her BS Degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing. During Kallie's Sophomore year of college, she started working as a Makeup Artist for MAC Cosmetics in Manhattan. Working for MAC in the heart of New York City allowed her the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele of all ages and races.

Kallie has done makeup for New York Fashion Week, Tribeca Film Festival, AMFAR Gala, Met Gala, Grammys, NY1 News, Women's Sports Foundation and a variety of special occasions. With her Cosmetology schooling, marketing experience, and years of beauty consulting Kallie has developed into a well-rounded artist.

Klarita's love for makeup started at a young age, and today she gets to live that passion every day. She graduated from New York City Makeup Academy, where she was certified in makeup application, hairstyling and sanitation. Her experience includes NYFW, bridal makeup, special occasions, and editorial photoshoots.

Olivia started her career in finance, where the corporate world gave her real business know-how, but her passion for beauty won out. She earned her cosmetology license in California and, after moving to New York, built her skills as a freelance artist. She went on to serve as lead US hair and makeup artist for Amazon Prime Video UK's live TV projects, and has worked with Disney/ABC Studio News, Bloomberg, and luxury beauty brands including Givenchy, Lancôme, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Avène, La Roche-Posay, One Size and Dossier.

Cami is a certified makeup artist, professionally trained at The Makeup Academy in NYC, with hands-on experience doing makeup for brides, special events, and brand photoshoots. Her work focuses on enhancing natural features while creating polished, long-lasting looks that photograph beautifully. She uses high-quality professional products and stays current with techniques to ensure flawless results across all skin tones and types. For Cami, the experience is just as important as the final look: she wants every client to feel relaxed, confident, and taken care of during their most important moments.

Courtney has been doing makeup professionally since 2017, after earning her cosmetology license and her makeup certification at Make-Up Designory in NYC. Her passion started young, watching her brother and other kids battle cancer. When her brother was finally cured, she saw how hard it was for him to move past what the long illness and treatments had left behind. Those moments stayed with her, and she promised herself to help people see the beauty in themselves, no matter the situation. Makeup has given Courtney the gift of making people happy, and that's all she ever wants to do, whether she's doing hair or makeup.

Riley is a true creative spirit, and makeup is her outlet to express it. While she loves a bold look, she also understands that sometimes clients simply want to highlight the best version of themselves for a special occasion. As our Lead Makeup Assistant, Riley also heads up training and development for our assistant team, and her leadership, passion and strong work ethic make her an integral part of the team.

Katelynn (most people call her Kate!) became a certified makeup artist after earning her bachelor's degree in hospitality management, and it's been a dream come true. She brings a friendly, professional touch to every client experience, taking time to understand your vision and working with the lead artist to create the perfect look.

Elaina is a Certified Professional Makeup Artist and Licensed Esthetician with a lifelong passion for beauty, deeply inspired by the artistry and innovation of the K-Beauty industry. A graduate of the Master’s Program at the Makeup Academy NYC, she brings experience in bridal, editorial, and NYFW.

With an advanced, skin-focused approach, Elaina creates radiant, refined looks that enhance natural beauty. She believes true confidence begins with healthy skin and is dedicated to helping every client feel like the most elevated version of themselves.

Amanda’s interest in makeup began after taking the Beauty & Bridal Makeup Program at The Makeup Academy NYC. From her first classes, she realized makeup was something that truly inspired her and that she wanted to pursue professionally. She enjoys working across beauty, bridal, and editorial makeup, with a particular love for soft glam looks that enhance each client’s natural features. For Amanda, makeup is about helping people feel confident while still feeling like themselves. As a Bridal Assistant, she supports the Lead Artists throughout the wedding day and enjoys being part of a team that brings each bride’s vision to life.

Maggie’s love for beauty began during her senior year of high school when she struggled with acne and discovered the confidence that comes from caring for her skin. That experience inspired her to help others feel beautiful in their own skin through both skincare and makeup artistry.

After graduating from Capri Cosmetology in Newburgh, NY, she became a licensed esthetician and makeup artist, combining her skincare expertise with her artistry. She loves creating soft, natural glam looks that highlight what makes each person uniquely beautiful. Maggie strives to make every client feel confident, radiant, and comfortable in their own skin, enhancing their natural beauty for life’s most special moments.
